Environment project-Final piece???

As seen in my previous blog about the color compositions for my environment, I decided to settle down with the very first example, having the brighter orange more or less match with the areas under the bridges to give me a head start for the light source.
Starting with the Color Dodge tool and the Burn tool, on the Color Comp layer I lightened the areas that would have displays of natural and artificial lighting such as the windows, the pods on the walls and under the bridges, around and on the statue (Of course before that I had to lightly paint over with a light beige/off white color to give it this bright marble stone-looking surface) and most importantly the lighting coming from the fog itself. Next I added a layer (still under the color comp) with the stone floor texture (It gave it a nice old gothic castle vibe) and adjusted it with the Free Transform tool put on Distort mode then Warp mode to make sure it aligned with the bridge and had each of the slabs be more or less in the same perspective. The texture itself had been put on Overlay and didn’t need much adjusting since it perfectly matched with the color comp and sketch underneath. The following textures added were the veiny, organic surfaces on the walls and pillars under the bridges. First texture had been put on Overlay with an added Vector Mask to get rid of and shape the areas where the texture is needed, next layer I overlapped a red coral texture and played around with the layer modes until I decided to settle with Soft light and an opacity of 48% to not make the overall appearance look messy and crowded. Again, I also added a vector mask in case I needed to fix some areas. For the pillars I had to make a separate layer from the bridge, though did use the same steps for it, excluding the fact that I had to lower the opacity slightly to 79%.
Moving on to the smaller details, the wire in the very front of the foreground had been gently darkened with the layer mode on Soft Light to separate it from the rest of the artwork. The wires on the top right were added near the very end, mostly because I found that the area looked a bit empty due to the one of the pillars having kind of disappeared after I had used the Curves adjustment option for the visibility of the sketch.
To give the pods this bright glow and bizarre appearance, I had to make a few layers for them and use a murky yellow color as its base before adding on with either an Overlay layer or Linear light.

I had gone a bit overboard when working on this, seeing as the rest had been painted over/rendered, so in the end it actually ended up being a fully finished piece despite us still being in the texturing process and whatnot. I might go back to it and change some things, like the fog or darken the pathway of the bridges for example...
